I Like Carroll Shelby’s Cars and Chili Mixes Better Than That Race

Whew…what a weekend. Spring arrived and so did a massive snowstorm along the east coast. I hate shoveling that stuff now. Paced correctly, however, the cardio workout is good. I decided to back up my home network and individual PCs yesterday while the ‘stock’ car racarroll-shelbyce from Vegas was on and still had time to replace the internal plumbing in a couple of toilets as well. Kudos to both Robby Gordon and Sam Hornish, Jr., for getting top 20 finishes in that sparsely attended 1.5 mile dronefest on a 1.5 Bruton-ized cookie cutter. Seeing Mr. Shelby up and walking around, particularly after most of his internal plumbing has been replaced, is always great.

There are still old curmudgeons who claim to dislike Indy Car racing but talk repeatedly about it (mostly because they are lying hypocrites who are actually fans that watch every millisecond of it) who often also pine to a return to engines-in-the-front Indy Cars. The one word that immediately springs to mind when that brand of nonsense gets suggested is ‘die.’ And make it snappy. ;-)

Even though March has arrived like a lion, it will not remain that way for long. Your truly is jazzed because I will be boarding the ‘ol jet for Birmingham later this month for the Indy Car test at Barber Motorsports Park, the facility I wish they would name as a permanent replacement for the rat infested money loser that was Belle Isle. That will be FUN!
