Racing Besides NASCAR

If you are an open wheel enthusiast, here is an off-season fix idea: A1GP. That spec-ish series resumes this weekend in the Netherlands at the Zandvoort circuit. Perhaps the most interesting part of the series where the U.S. team is concerned is that AGR has taken over its operation. We may also see Danica and Marco splitting time behind the wheel.

It appears the only way to see it is on your computer via what is hopefully a high speed connection. Enjoy watching!

Two teams that really ought to get a win again in 2009: Panther and Foyt. Wheldon brings a proven winner. The pit crew, however, needs to figure out how to shave fractions of seconds off each stop. Vitor winning a Larry-Foyt-managed team would be even sweeter than a Panther win with Wheldon. Those are two scenarios that have me longing for Indy Cars already.
