Let’s Go Lone Star for Indy Car This Weekend!

Filed under: The Disciple Blogs — Disciple of INDYCAR @ 4:41 pm

What a way to follow up a GREAT Indianapolis 500!

Yee-haw! It’s off to the hot and sticky Ft. Worth area of Texas for a little brisket and Indy Car racing at the ‘second home of Indy Car’—Texas Motor Speedway. As usual Eddie Gossage remains the best Indy car promoter in the business as he unleashes a great idea from the past….twin races. The second event, with its blind draw, should make for an interesting nightcap…not to mention sprint-like events.

Fans will once again get their moneys’ worth. See you there or on TV! Have a GREAT racing weekend.

  1. I’m excited for this race(s) also. It will sure shake things up. Eddie Gossage is a great partner for Indycar. I’m a little worried about my girl, Simona–has the Indy wreck taken away her desire to compete? I sure hope not.

  2. i tried to watch this yesterday, but i have to say it…complete minor league stuff. the crowd, errr, what crowd? the draw itself, no fans cheering for the drivers, and the drivers themselves, all having to be grabbed to sign the wheels. what is with all the bitching afterwards? they all knew for months going in all the scenarios that could play out. they should have spoken out long ago, not afterwards.

i am sorry, i want indy cars to succeed, but events like last night, do not bring in new fans, nor do they inspire confidence amongst the current sponsors, or draw in new sponsors.

and once again, ovals…flat out throttle racing, boring. how can anyone like it? sure the cars are all the same for the most part, so it will lend itself to close pack racing, but true racing fans have to be thoroughly disgusted with this garbage.

of course, our resident blogger will tow the same line, everything is fine, yadda yadda. yawn. keep towing the line Disciple, all fans like yourself do, is encourage the status quo.
